Ten Things... crabby edition

1. I had to call the Drs. yesterday to schedule an induction date... since so many people want to be induced before Thanksgiving. So I chose Monday, November 16...
2. My Dr. just called to tell me that they (the Hospital) already has 12 (!) people scheduled for induction on the 16th...
3. So he scheduled me for Tuesday the 17th...6am
4. I HATE the #17...
5. I don't want to be a PITA but... I am really hoping to "go" before I have to become psycho and re-schedule for another day. Yes, I am THAT weird....
6. UGH! I am SO frustrated!
7. AND I am also sad that I pretty much am guaranteed to not be able to be out and about for my favorite day of the year...
8. Yes, I am a big brat...
9. Now that I am home in the morning and surfing TV... I am amazed how pathetic and painful morning TV is... Martha? Regis? GMA? Gag.... Don't even get me started on the 45 seconds that I will never get back watching The View.....
10. Maybe I should just go unpack everyone's bags...

um... if you unpack the bags won't that help w/the whole Murphy's Law thing - then you'll NEED them packed?? Hang in there, but not you #4 - you should come on out!!!

oh, you didn't really watch The View? And the sheer inane-ness of the stupid show didn't make #4 come out kicking and screaming and trying to make it all.just.stop.?

I have never had a scheduled induction so I don't know how those things go. I'm sorry you didn't get the date you wanted...but you would probably rather have more attention of the people on the 17th than be one of 12! inductions on the 16th.

I organized my freezer today. (sob) These are things I do other than watching morning tv. That, and my TV is always blaring Max and Ruby. The view makes me want to drink heavily. Have you ever caught the 4th hour of the today show? Kathie Lee and Hoda are ACTUALLY worse than The View.

When I was pregnant with Lucy, I demanded my c-secion be scheduled for an even numbered day. I was fully prepared to just not show up if they didn't give me the day I wanted. Call me crazy. I don't like odd numbers.

Kathie Lee and Hoda define bad morning TV. Good thing you weren't watching them or you may have decided to try some "natural remedies" to get the labor going! SNL did a skit of Kathie Lee and Hoda and the scary thing was they did not have to exaggerate a damn thing!

I think the people who's due dates are closest to the 16th should have dibs. Although I guess they can't just call someone and cancel them. I wonder how much further out from the 16th some of these 12 are? NOT FAIR!! But really I think you're going to go before then anyway. Everything happens for a reason. Breathe. PEEEEAAAACE.
